Most of you know, I have lived here for a couple of years trying to find what kind of business I wanted to start.

However recently I met an amazing guy named Tommy. I believe that people like Tommy represent the east mountains better than anyone I’ve ever met.

As the owner of That Scrap LLC he served the community for the last year offering free dumpster rentals to Veterans during the week of Veterans Day! As a flight medic, husband and father he’s an example of what true Service from the heart looks like.

I’ve had the unique opportunity to get to know him during the process of buying his business this past week. In the spirit of honoring our veterans, I want to continue this great service and I want to give you the community an opportunity to participate.

Every Saturday this month, I’m going to dedicate one large dumpster for the entire day to go around the community and help veterans and their families “clean up”

I’m looking for two things primarily if this is going to do the most good…

1. Veterans and their families like most of us often don’t want to ask for help. I need you to nominate families. Either yourself, a loved one, or someone you know in the local community that could use some help.

2. I’m looking for people willing to commit just an hour  or two of their Saturday to pick up trash, move boxes, rake leaves, shovel, dirt, whatever it takes to help these amazing people who helped to secure our freedom.
